Who we are

Mt Kenya Endangered Wildlife and Environmental Conservation Organization (MKEWECO) is a nonprofit committed to protecting endangered species and conserving the natural habitats surrounding Mt. Kenya. We work with communities, government, and stakeholders to foster sustainable coexistence between humans and wildlife.
Our Focus Areas
Our Mission in Action

Primate Monitoring and Habitat Restoration
We are currently undertaking a focused initiative to monitor primate populations—especially monkeys—within and around Mount Kenya National Park. This project aims to study their movement, protect their habitat, and reduce human-wildlife conflict through community engagement and sustainable conservation practices.
